Creating Magical Space (60 min)

This class looks at how to clear your space of clutter and negative influences in order to create a blank canvas suitable for your intent. Whether you have a dresser, altar or entire temple, we will discuss simple techniques to carve out a sacred spot in your life. Beginner level.

An Exposition of Pentagram Rituals (90 min)

Do you think you may be “doing the Star Ruby wrong” and avoid doing it in a group? Calm your anxiety and celebrate the variations! Participants will volunteer and demonstrate four different pentagram ceremonies: the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram, Liber Stellae Rubeae, the Greater Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram, and Liber Reguli. We will discuss the similarities and differences between the ceremonies, different styles of performance, and experiment with different ways to adapt the ceremonies into magical work. Intermediate level, but beginners are welcome.

Intro to Sex Magick (90 min)

A class and discussion of sex magick, including some preparatory exercises. The exercises do not include any nudity. For all levels, solo or partnered and beyond. Beginner level.

Sex Magick and Overcoming Obstacles, Particularly for Women (90 – 120 minutes)

How do you do sex magick if you can only orgasm a particular way? Are you hooked on porn and fantasy? What if your long-term partner doesn’t share your interest? Are you a woman who does not menstruate because of contraception, menopause, sex change or surgery and is bothered by claims that “a woman is at the height of her magical power while menstruating?” These are some of the many obstacles a magician may face in their life-long sex magick practices. This class will discuss myths, theories, ethics and techniques in meeting a variety of challenges. We’ll have a few exercises too. Exercises are clothed and one may opt out if they choose. For all levels.

Biography of Soror Hypathia

Soror Hypathia (or Tau Asteria) has been a member of Ordo Templi Orientis since 1995. She served as Master of William Blake Lodge in Baltimore, Maryland, USA from 2001 – 2008 and USGL EGC Secretary from 2008 – 2011. Presently, she serves in the capacities of Sovereign Grand Inspector General, High Priestess of Infinite Stars Chapter of Rose Croix, and a member of the USGL Supreme Grand Council. As a speaker, she has lectured on topics including the Gnostic Mass, Tarot, astrology, initiation, sex magick, ritual construction, pentagram rituals, fund raising, and event management. She has been interviewed for the Stooping Starlight podcast and has presented at OTO bodies all over the US. Internationally, she has lectured in Dublin, Sydney, Oslo, Vancouver, and London.
